Mill House

Once a working farm, the Mill House is a heritage property with distinctive character. Though traditional in materiality, it has an unconventional layout shaped over time as various outbuildings were joined together to create a sprawling, u-shaped building.

For our clients, it was love at first sight as they felt it was the perfect countryside escape offering enough space for their young family as well as guests. We were delighted to be appointed to transform the Mill House into a welcoming countryside getaway.

The challenge was to create an identity that would bring the seemingly disparate parts together as a whole. This was achieved with a classically, elegant scheme and well-timed juxtaposition of certain raw features, such as exposed timber. Bespoke furniture was especially commissioned to suit the unique footprint of the building.
