What we're looking for

At Sims Hilditch, our large creative team is divided into individual studios. We are looking for an Interior Design Lead to own the entire creative process, project execution & team management for one of these studios at an exciting time for the business. As the Senior Design Lead you will lead your studio team through all stages of projects from concept to close out, ensuring they run on time, on budget and on brief, achieving all agreed milestones, whilst upholding unrivalled client service that has become synonymous with our brand. You will oversee and manage the output from both the Interior Architecture and FF&E functions, ensuring all elements of projects are coordinated and that each task is performed within the allocated timeframe, balancing client, business and creative needs. As a client-facing brand ambassador, you will work closely with the Creative Founder, Studio Director and Commercial Director to evolve the brand by seeking new business opportunities, driving optimum profitability and developing your team.

Experience & Qualifications

Key responsibilities

• Oversee 6-8 projects at any given time.
• Manage, develop and mentor team members.
• Pro-actively seek new business and partnership opportunities, attending prospective client meeting and pitches.
• Clearly define the design stages into clear and concise deliverables for your team at point of proposal, managing the allocated resources to ensure the team complete the relevant deadlines on time.
• Monitor your team’s output to ensure they include the correct information at each stage.
• Ensure consistency of information across each project and adapt the deliverables to align with the agreed scope at the start of the project.
• Champion autonomy and ownership across the team.
• Lead client communications and attend all client meetings.
• Maintain oversight of performance for all projects in your team.
• Ensure all key design information is issued, managing the project scope, and keeping the client updated with any relevant communications.
• Maintain a critical eye on business impact, per project.
• Regularly report on key KPIs per project.
