    We are looking for an ambitious intern to join our friendly and approachable team in Summer 2018. If you are a budding designer, project manager or marketing enthusiast and you are available for 4-6 weeks between June and mid-September please send your CV along with covering letter and examples of your work (if applicable) to info@simshilditch.com. The covering letter should be concise and contain answers to the below three questions:

    • Why Sims Hilditch?
    • What are you career aspirations?
    • What achievement to date are you most proud?

    What can you expect? 

    Successful candidates will:

    • Gain insight into a multi-disciplinary business spending time with FF&E designers, Interior Architects and Project Managers
    • Assist our designers with delivering elegant and contemporary interiors on time and within budget
    • Gain insight into studio management 
    • Help with the preparation for and facilitate client meetings
    • Create fabric boards, mood boards and general arrangements to help realise the design vision for our clients
    • Generally assist in value adding tasks in support of current business initiatives
    • Develop your own personal project
    • Gain insight into national marketing campaigns

    Requirements

    Key Skills, Candidates must:

    • Currently be studying or have recently completed a degree in Interior Design, Business, Marketing or related subject
    • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
    • Be a dedicated team player 
    • Be flexible and adaptable to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
    • Be self-motivated to take initiative and complete tasks to a high standard 
    • Be proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel
    • Have access to a car with a clean driving license

    Desirable Skills

    • Have working knowledge of Adobe Suite
