Meet the Team

Alisha joined Sims Hilditch in September 2023, having graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a first class degree in Interior Design. During her course, she worked as a part-time interior design assistant for Louise Misell Interiors, which specialises in residential design, and she also completed a placement with a Bath-based office design studio. Her role at Sims Hilditch entails translating design concepts into detailed presentations and supporting the wider team with plans, elevations and site visit installations. Alisha also provides admin support for the team, including sample ordering and liaising with suppliers. At the same time, she is responsible for organising and maintaining the sample library and assisting the FF&E team with sourcing furniture, fabrics and developing furniture drawings.

Andrea has more than 12 years’ experience in interior design, having worked on a range of projects in the retail, hospitality, and residential sectors. She obtained a degree in Interior Design from the Manchester School of Art and has since worked on notable projects for well-known brands and international organisations based in the UK and Asia. Andrea excels at creating detailed visual sketches at concept stage and using her skills to work around architectural challenges which arise throughout the design process.

Growing up with architecture and restoration in the family inspired Becca to pursue a career in interiors, starting with degree in textiles from the Bournemouth Arts University. Becca has over 8 years' experience in the industry and has worked on both residential and commercial projects around the UK. She is particularly inspired by quality craftsmanship and materials and is passionate about honing in on details. One of the most exciting aspects of working at Sims Hilditch for her is the uniqueness of every project and she loves seeing all elements come together.

Charlotte joined Sims Hilditch in September 2023 after completing a degree in Interior Design at Bath Spa University. Her final undergraduate project, a sensory centre for young children with special needs that integrated elements of biophilic design, was featured in a New Designers exhibition in London and showcased in the magazine Dezeen. With a passion for period properties and antiques, Charlotte enjoys combining traditional design with modern approaches to, for example, sustainability, always ensuring the finished result is both functional and timeless. 

Having graduated from Southampton Solent University, where she studied Interior Design & Decoration, Christina gained 10 years of industry experience in kitchen design, high end residential and property development design. While her background has typically been technical, she covers both interior architecture and the interior decoration of a project. Christina enjoys the beauty of designing the internal foundations of a building during the interior architecture phase and bringing it to life through layers of textures and tones from fabrics and furnishings, reflecting the personality of the client while remaining timeless in design.

Claire joined Sims Hilditch in 2017 and ensures the smooth running of the studio including everything from IT, health & satety and maintenance of our Grade II-listed building and surrounding garden. In tandem, she looks after the team which covers introducing new policies and procedures, managing the HR software, investing in talent and the managing personal growth and development of each and every member of staff. She’s also spearheading our move to an ever more environmentally responsible business, securing our B Corp certification as well as creating partnerships with charities who match our goals. She holds a First Class Hons degree in Fashion Textiles from the University of the West of England.

Clemmie holds a degree in fine art and interior design and loves to work with classic English styles, pairing them with contemporary fabrics, patterns, and lighting to create a pleasing contrast in keeping with contemporary country style. Clemmie has five years’ experience working as a curtain maker before moving into interior design, and enjoys browsing the array of fabrics in the Sims Hilditch design library when searching for inspiration for client projects. She also enjoys seeing each design come to life at installation stage.

With 12 years’ industry experience within the luxury residential, commercial and yacht design industry under her belt, Clowie is Head of Client and Partnership Development for Sims Hilditch. Having graduated from the University of Manchester with a BSc in Textiles Design, Clowie entered the industry as part of the press department at the Conran Shop, before joining luxury wallcovering brand Fromental. It was here that she developed a keen business acumen, taking on the role of Business Development Associate for the European market, before joining Allect International Design Group as Private Client Manger where she ran the Aftercare Division. Clowie thrives on being part of the growing portfolio of Sims Hilditch projects and particularly enjoys building relationships with her clients. She loves to watch each project evolve, from concept through to completion.

Founder Emma Sims-Hilditch grew up immersed in a world of art, architecture and design. In 2009, she launched her own interior design practice, Sims Hilditch, offering the combined skills of interior architecture, interior design and project management in one place. Sims Hilditch has become synonymous with an English living aesthetic, inspired by the Great British countryside and re-imagined with a fresh eye.

Originally from Valencia in Spain, Gema studied Engineering and Industrial Design followed by a postgraduate in Creative Graphic Design and a diploma in Interior Design. She moved to England after discovering her love for British architecture and decoration. With over ten years’ industry experience in residential projects both in England and Spain, Gema specialises in creating unique and curated residential projects bringing to life the client’s vision in a collaborative manner. She is passionate about natural materials, textures, and colour as well as the interior architectural elements to ensure the space flows. She loves to combine new and old to create elegant and timeless homes.

Gemma joined Sims Hilditch in 2014 bringing with her 8 years of experience working in high-end residential and retail design. As Studio Director, Gemma manages the design team and oversees the interior architecture and interior decoration phases of each project. Educated at the University of South Wales with a degree in Interior Architecture, Gemma most enjoys building long-lasting relationships with clients and creating homes that are uniquely tailored to meet their needs.

Hannah graduated from Bournemouth University with a BA in Interior Design and has since gained 15 years of industry experience in London and Dubai across a range of specialisms, including high-end residential design, hospitality and commercial projects. A Senior Project Lead at Sims Hilditch, Hannah’s passion lies in understanding the way that space can impact the way we feel and behave, something she considers in every project. She loves getting to know her clients, understanding their objectives and creating a unique and relevant space that tells their story.

Harriet joined Sims Hilditch in 2012 and now takes on the role of Commercial Director. Her keen eye for detail and a strategic approach ensures that every project unfolds with seamless efficiency, from conception to execution. By leveraging technology, streamlining processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, Harriet works alongside the procurement team to ensure that we deliver projects on time and within budget, exceeding client expectations. Her meticulous approach ensures that every element of a project aligns with the envisioned design, contributing to the company's reputation for reliability and quality.

Helena joined Sims Hilditch in 2017, bringing with her 5 years of procurement experience within luxury retail. She has a degree in Business and Marketing obtained at Bournemouth University and is responsible for overseeing the logistical element of each project, from budgeting through to final installation. Helena brings an outstanding level of knowledge and industry experience to her role, and enjoys building long lasting relationships with our clients to ensure projects are executed seamlessly from start to finish.

Prior to joining Sims Hilditch, Henry was a leading marketing and strategy consultant who established his own business after several years of heading up marketing for companies including Ralph Lauren, JLL and Jack Wills. Based in Hampshire, with a foothold in London, he’s excited about establishing Sims Hilditch as a world-renowned design studio.

James attended the Chelsea School of Art and Design where he obtained a First Class BA in Interior and Spatial Design. He was an Associate at Conran and Partners before joining the Sims Hilditch team as a Lead Designer. James has more than 14 years’ experience working across a broad range of interior design projects in residential, retail, hospitality and workplace design both in the UK and overseas. He enjoys working on a variety of project types, from smaller scale to large and complex residential schemes, always with a strong focus on the quality of the technical details.

Jessica obtained a BA degree in Interior Architecture from the University of Wales. She then accrued more than 8 years’ experience in high end retail design and residential interiors before joining Sims Hilditch. Jessica brings a positive, can-do attitude to her role and is passionate about building strong, lasting relationships with her clients. She thrives during the concepting process of design, working with the constraints and opportunities of the existing building and the client’s individual needs to deliver functional spaces that feel like home.

Kate began her career in advertising, working on a number of leading consumer brands, and has now been in finance for over 20 years. It was during her MBA at Cranfield School of Management that she developed an interest in entrepreneurship, business strategy and growth and from there she took up roles in venture capital, investing in management teams across a range of sectors. This experience provided the catalyst for Kate to move into a management, helping to deliver growth. She loves day-to-day problem solving and long-term planning and finds it energising to be part of a strong and motivated team. Having gained a first class degree in Zoology from Durham University, Kate has always had a keen interest in ecology, ecosystems and biodiversity. Now that Sims Hilditch is focussing on sustainability and is on the road to gaining BCorp status, Kate is excited to be involved in moving the business forward, embedding new practices and considering just profit but people and the planet, too.

With a degree in Interior Design and Architecture from Bournemouth University, Kelly has a firm grounding in both the technical and creative side of interior design. Having built over 12 years' industry experience working across residential and commercial projects, Kelly has found a passion in creating beautiful yet functional concepts for her clients. She takes great pride in making each design bespoke and particularly enjoys finding unique and antique items for her interiors to bring character and depth to a home.

Previously based in London, Laura has worked as an interior designer in the luxury residential sector for the last 12 years. Working with many of the ‘Top 100’ studios, she has gained experience in all aspects of a project life cycle, from concept to completion. Laura trained in interior design at KLC and previously studied Marketing and Management of Textiles (BSc) at the University of Manchester. Her strengths lie in project management and delivery. Laura loves seeing a project come together and providing a level of service to ensure that each client’s expectations are exceeded.

Lauren joins us to head up the marketing team as maternity cover. With an extensive background in marketing, working previously in the interior design industry as well as roles in the non-profit and tourism sectors, over the past 8 years she has carved a marketing career that follows her passion for art and architecture after obtaining her degree in History of Art and Spanish from the University of Kent.

Nora joined Sims Hilditch in November 2023 having worked for a number of interiors and design companies including Zara Home, Loaf, and Farrow & Ball. Nora has held various roles in sales and purchasing teams, building up experience in processing customer orders, commissioning bespoke furniture and managing suppliers. Alongside a solid understanding of furniture and materials, she also has an appreciation of colours, finishes, and applications. Skilled at organisation and structure, her role at the studio involves liaising with suppliers on availability, pricing and lead times as well as supporting the interior design team by ensuring they have all the items required in order to deliver projects on time.

Having graduated from KLC School of Design with a foundation degree in Interior Design, Rachael has honed her skills in the industry through developing residential and commercial spaces. Rachael works particularly well with conceptual development, progressing from inception through to design application. Her thorough client, regional and historical research helps to encapsulate a client’s preferences and a property’s essence into her designs. She particularly enjoys designing schemes with a balance of styles and time periods to create a cohesive space, harmonising contemporary pieces with traditional styles. On top of that, Rachael also enjoys producing detailed renderings to create memorable project impressions for her clients.

Highly organised and efficient, Sarah studied Event Management at Manchester Metropolitan University. Following a placement year in the events industry, Sarah went on to organise corporate functions before joining Sims Hilditch. She enjoys bringing her skillset to the interiors industry, managing the budgets for each project diligently and with care and precision. A highlight of Sarah’s role is seeing projects come together and she gains particular satisfaction in seeing the finished result at final install.

Scarlett has 12 years’ experience working within high end residential interior design following completing a degree in Interior Architecture at Leeds Metropolitan University. She has managed projects in the UK and overseas and held the position of Head of FF&E at Louise Bradley prior to joining Sims Hilditch. She enjoys working alongside the design team to create timeless interiors, while tailoring the design for each client’s individual requirements and has a passion for incorporating unique textiles and antiques into each project.
