Alisha joined Sims Hilditch in September 2023, having graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a first class degree in Interior Design. During her course, she worked as a part-time interior design assistant for Louise Misell Interiors, which specialises in residential design, and she also completed a placement with a Bath-based office design studio. Her role at Sims Hilditch entails translating design concepts into detailed presentations and supporting the wider team with plans, elevations and site visit installations. Alisha also provides admin support for the team, including sample ordering and liaising with suppliers. At the same time, she is responsible for organising and maintaining the sample library and assisting the FF&E team with sourcing furniture, fabrics and developing furniture drawings.

Alisha Winfield, Junior Interior Designer

Andrea has more than 12 years’ experience in interior design, having worked on a range of projects in the retail, hospitality, and residential sectors. She obtained a degree in Interior Design from the Manchester School of Art and has since worked on notable projects for well-known brands and international organisations based in the UK and Asia. Andrea excels at creating detailed visual sketches at concept stage and using her skills to work around architectural challenges which arise throughout the design process.

Andrea Whyatt, Senior Interior Architect

Andrea has more than 12 years’ experience in interior design, having worked on a range of projects in the retail, hospitality, and residential sectors. She obtained a degree in Interior Design from the Manchester School of Art and has since worked on notable projects for well-known brands and international organisations based in the UK and Asia. Andrea excels at creating detailed visual sketches at concept stage and using her skills to work around architectural challenges which arise throughout the design process.

Becca 5

Growing up with architecture and restoration in the family inspired Becca to pursue a career in interiors, starting with degree in textiles from the Bournemouth Arts University. Becca has over 8 years' experience in the industry and has worked on both residential and commercial projects around the UK. She is particularly inspired by quality craftsmanship and materials and is passionate about honing in on details. One of the most exciting aspects of working at Sims Hilditch for her is the uniqueness of every project and she loves seeing all elements come together.

Becca Powis, Studio Lead

Growing up with architecture and restoration in the family inspired Becca to pursue a career in interiors, starting with degree in textiles from the Bournemouth Arts University. Becca has over 8 years' experience in the industry and has worked on both residential and commercial projects around the UK. She is particularly inspired by quality craftsmanship and materials and is passionate about honing in on details. One of the most exciting aspects of working at Sims Hilditch for her is the uniqueness of every project and she loves seeing all elements come together.

Charlotte 3

Charlotte joined Sims Hilditch in September 2023 after completing a degree in Interior Design at Bath Spa University. Her final undergraduate project, a sensory centre for young children with special needs that integrated elements of biophilic design, was featured in a New Designers exhibition in London and showcased in the magazine Dezeen. With a passion for period properties and antiques, Charlotte enjoys combining traditional design with modern approaches to, for example, sustainability, always ensuring the finished result is both functional and timeless.

Chloe Cutts, Senior Designer

Claire joined Sims Hilditch in 2017 and ensures the smooth running of the studio including everything from IT, health & satety and maintenance of our Grade II-listed building and surrounding garden. In tandem, she looks after the team which covers introducing new policies and procedures, managing the HR software, investing in talent and the managing personal growth and development of each and every member of staff. She’s also spearheading our move to an ever more environmentally responsible business, securing our B Corp certification as well as creating partnerships with charities who match our goals. She holds a First Class Hons degree in Fashion Textiles from the University of the West of England.

In 2009, she launched her own interior design practice, Sims Hilditch, offering the combined skills of interior architecture, interior design and project management in one place. Emma Sims-Hilditch, Creative Founder

Founder Emma Sims-Hilditch grew up immersed in a world of art, architecture and design. Gema 5

Gema Broch, Senior Interior Designer

As Studio Director, Gemma manages the design team and oversees the interior architecture and interior decoration phases of each project. Hannah Linford

Hannah graduated from Bournemouth University with a BA in Interior Design and has since gained 15 years of industry experience in London and Dubai across a range of specialisms, including high-end residential design, hospitality and commercial projects. A Senior Project Lead at Sims Hilditch, Hannah’s passion lies in understanding the way that space can impact the way we feel and behave, something she considers in every project. She loves getting to know her clients, understanding their objectives and creating a unique and relevant space that tells their story.

A Senior Project Lead at Sims Hilditch, Hannah’s passion lies in understanding the way that space can impact the way we feel and behave, something she considers in every project. She loves getting to know her clients, understanding their objectives and creating a unique and relevant space that tells their story.

Harriet 7

Harriet joined Sims Hilditch in 2012 and now takes on the role of Commercial Director. Her keen eye for detail and a strategic approach ensures that every project unfolds with seamless efficiency, from conception to execution. By leveraging technology, streamlining processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, Harriet works alongside the procurement team to ensure that we deliver projects on time and within budget, exceeding client expectations. Her meticulous approach ensures that every element of a project aligns with the envisioned design, contributing to the company's reputation for reliability and quality.

Harriet Baines, Commercial Director

Harriet joined Sims Hilditch in 2012 and now takes on the role of Commercial Director. Helena joined Sims Hilditch in 2017, bringing with her 5 years of procurement experience within luxury retail. She has a degree in Business and Marketing obtained at Bournemouth University and is responsible for overseeing the logistical element of each project, from budgeting through to final installation. Helena brings an outstanding level of knowledge and industry experience to her role, and enjoys building long lasting relationships with our clients to ensure projects are executed seamlessly from start to finish.

He enjoys working on a variety of project types, from smaller scale to large and complex residential schemes, always with a strong focus on the quality of the technical details.

James Flett, Senior Studio Lead

Kate began her career in advertising, working on a number of leading consumer brands, and has now been in finance for over 20 years. It was during her MBA at Cranfield School of Management that she developed an interest in entrepreneurship, business strategy and growth and from there she took up roles in venture capital, investing in management teams across a range of sectors. This experience provided the catalyst for Kate to move into a management, helping to deliver growth. She loves day-to-day problem solving and long-term planning and finds it energising to be part of a strong and motivated team. Having gained a first class degree in Zoology from Durham University, Kate has always had a keen interest in ecology, ecosystems and biodiversity. Now that Sims Hilditch is focussing on sustainability and is on the road to gaining BCorp status, Kate is excited to be involved in moving the business forward, embedding new practices and considering just profit but people and the planet, too.

She takes great pride in making each design bespoke and particularly enjoys finding unique and antique items for her interiors to bring character and depth to a home.

Laura Tuckwell

Previously based in London, Laura has worked as an interior designer in the luxury residential sector for the last 12 years. Working with many of the ‘Top 100’ studios, she has gained experience in all aspects of a project life cycle, from concept to completion. Laura trained in interior design at KLC and previously studied Marketing and Management of Textiles (BSc) at the University of Manchester. Her strengths lie in project management and delivery. Laura loves seeing a project come together and providing a level of service to ensure that each client’s expectations are exceeded.

Lauren joins us to head up the marketing team as maternity cover. Lauren joins us to head up the marketing team as maternity cover. She has managed projects in the UK and overseas and held the position of Head of FF&E at Louise Bradley prior to joining Sims Hilditch. She enjoys working alongside the design team to create timeless interiors, while tailoring the design for each client’s individual requirements and has a passion for incorporating unique textiles and antiques into each project.
