WOW!house 2025

Join us this June at WOW!house 2025 at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, where we have reimagined the Courtyard Room as a beautifully appointed entrance and 'modern boot room'.

The Modern Boot Room

Our approach is rooted in the belief that beauty and practicality should always go hand in hand. At WOW!house 2025, we bring this philosophy to life by reimagining a quintessentially 'back-of-house' space for modern family living, bringing the charm of the British countryside into a city home. Drawing on our experience designing functional family homes, we imagined a space that supports the rhythm of everyday life... from muddy boots and dogs to sports kit, cutting flowers, and vegetables brought in from the garden to rinse.

Bringing the Countryside to the City

We envisioned the space as a rear entrance hall leading into a boot room and a dedicated dog space. Each area serves a practical purpose while remaining visually connected through a considered material palette and timeless design details. The scheme features a mix of antique British pieces, mid-century finds, and bespoke elements sourced from across Europe, united by a warm, layered aesthetic.

At the heart of the entrance hall sits a large antique dresser and a marble sink by Ca’ Pietra Artisans. A bespoke draper’s table by Titchmarsh & Goodwin anchors the room, its drawers perfect for car keys and a surface ideal for displaying fresh blooms. The walls are dressed in ‘Blackberry’ wallpaper by Marthe Armitage, hand-selected by Emma Sims-Hilditch, for its charming botanical motif. A Swedish Mora clock and joinery hand-painted by Tess Newall add further character, while a custom dog bed, designed with Lorfords Contemporary, provides a luxurious resting place for the imagined owners’ dog, Astrid.

Two fixed panels by Titchmarsh & Goodwin, inspired by those found in traditional country houses, form elegant partitions that define the entrance and boot room as distinct spaces. The boot room features bespoke joinery designed to house muddy Le Chameau boots, while the adjacent dog-washing station sits within its own dedicated area. This space debuts The White Hart Collection, our latest collaboration with Marlborough Tiles. A timeless series of hand-painted Delft-blue motifs inspired by the changing seasons in the Cotswolds.

"We set out to create a space that feels effortlessly lived-in and loved. Cosy, practical, and full of character, it embodies a distinctly British sensibility that celebrates comfort, craftsmanship, and understated elegance."
