Boston Design Day

As part of our Beautifully British Interiors US launch, we were delighted to take part in Beacon Hill Design Day.

The event was hosted by Beacon Hill Books with the Boston Athenaeum and ICAA New England, celebrating craft and timeless design.

Emma joined an inspiring roster of speakers including Bess Clarke, Nina Farmer, Caroline Gidiere, Suzanne Kasler, Cathy Kincaid, Frances Palmer, Russell Windham, and Fernando Wong. In conversation with Cathy Kincaid, Emma spoke about the evolution of the Sims Hilditch studio, our focus on balancing beauty with comfort, and the importance of craftsmanship, heritage, and thoughtful materials. She also shared insights into several projects featured in Beautifully British Interiors.

Guests explored and purchased the presenters’ books, enjoying the opportunity to hear directly from designers shaping influential interiors today. For us, the day reflected the American design community at its best: immersed and engaged with British craft and design. Sims Hilditch was honoured to be included, and thoroughly enjoyed showcasing our projects with an audience that shares the same values in timeless design and beautiful interiors as much as we do.
