Senior Interior Designer

Sims Hilditch is looking for a Senior Interior Designer with a minimum of 8-10 years industry experience to take lead responsibility for delivery of high quality, accurate and creative interior designs from concept to completion for private and commercial clients.

Mid Weight Interior Designer

To deliver creative and accurate Interiors projects from concept to completion in-line with the Sims-Hilditch design vision and aesthetic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

With a natural flair for spatial planning, technical skills, and knowledge of FF&E fabrics, this role will inspire and deliver outstanding design for our clients on all types and size of residential properties to create a fully bespoke and functioning home.

  • Deliver creative design projects, as part of a flexible team or independently.
  • Translate design concepts into detailed presentations and supporting documentation.
  • Effectively communicate detailed design in CAD, presentation, and written formats.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
  • Accompany senior design team members to presentations with VIP high-end clients.
  • Support senior design team.
  • Support the business in its day-to-day functions.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of furniture, fabrics, joinery, detailing.
  • Flexible and open attitude to new ways of working.
  • Self-motivated, proactive with the ability to take initiative.
  • Good team player, both assisting and supporting team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Auto CAD, InDesign, PhotoShop, Sketchup, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, free-hand sketching
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence

CAD Technician

To deliver technical support on Interiors projects from concept to completion in-line with the Sims-Hilditch design vision and aesthetic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a CAD technician with a minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience within the luxury residential industry. Working principally on technical drawing packages, this role will cover all elements of interior architecture from drawing up floor plans, elevations and reflected ceiling plans to interior details such as bespoke joinery, custom furniture and architectural features.

  • Deliver creative design projects, alongside the design team
  • Translate design concepts into detailed presentations and supporting documentation
  • Produce full drawing packages to be reviewed by the senior team and issued to an architect or contractor for tender
  • Confidence in working in all project stages in line with RIBA structure
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams
  • Accompany senior design team members to presentations with VIP high-end clients
  • An ability to produce 3D renders would be preferred
  • Support the business in its day-to-day functions
