Meet the Team

Alisha graduated with First Class Honours in Interior Design from Cardiff Metropolitan University before joining Sims Hilditch in 2023. During her studies, she gained valuable experience at Louise Misell Interiors, a residential design studio, and with a Bath-based commercial practice. In her role, Alisha supports the design team in preparing detailed presentations, drawings, and installation documents, as well as managing sample procurement, supplier communications, and the studio’s material library.

Charlotte joined Sims Hilditch in 2023 after graduating with a degree in Interior Design from Bath Spa University. Her final project, a sensory centre for children with special needs incorporating biophilic design, was exhibited at New Designers in London and featured in Dezeen. With a particular interest in period architecture and antiques, Charlotte is passionate about blending traditional design with contemporary principles such as sustainability, creating interiors that are both functional and enduring.

Chloe joined Sims Hilditch in 2024, having graduated with a degree in Interior Design from Bath Spa University. She brings a creative and detail-oriented approach to her work, with a particular interest in FF&E sourcing and bespoke joinery design. Chloe enjoys combining colour, texture and finish to create distinctive interiors that feel both personal and considered.

Christina graduated with a degree in Interior Design & Decoration from Southampton Solent University before gaining over a decade of experience in kitchen design, high-end residential, and property development projects. With a background rooted in technical design, she works across both interior architecture and decoration. Christina takes particular pleasure in shaping the internal structure of a space before layering it with texture, tone, and detail, creating timeless interiors that reflect the individuality of each client.

Claire joined Sims Hilditch in 2017 and plays a key role in shaping the studio’s culture. As Head of People & Culture, she leads on talent development, well-being, and professional growth, while also overseeing the studio’s sustainability initiatives, including its B Corp journey. Driven by a passion for people and purpose, Claire ensures Sims Hilditch remains a place where individuals feel supported and able to thrive.

Clemmie holds a degree in Fine Art and Interior Design and brings five years’ experience as a curtain maker to her interior design practice. She specialises in classic English styles, thoughtfully pairing them with contemporary fabrics, patterns, and lighting to achieve a refined contemporary country aesthetic. Clemmie draws inspiration from the extensive Sims Hilditch fabric library and takes great pleasure in seeing her designs realised during installation.

Clowance graduated with a BSc in Textile and Design from Manchester University. She spent five years at Fromental as a Business Development Associate for the UK and EU markets before joining The Allect Group, which includes Rigby & Rigby, Helen Green, and Lawson Robb. There, she gained valuable experience across operations, marketing, and client care before joining Sims Hilditch.

Liz brings over a decade of experience managing residential and hospitality projects. She excels in overseeing the logistical and commercial aspects of complex designs, ensuring smooth and efficient project delivery. With a sharp eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills, Liz consistently guides projects from inception to completion, achieving successful outcomes for every client.

Founder Emma Sims-Hilditch grew up surrounded by art, architecture, and design. In 2009, she established Sims Hilditch, an interior design practice uniting interior architecture, design, and project management under one roof. The studio has since become synonymous with an English living aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the British countryside and reinterpreted with a contemporary, fresh perspective.

Originally from Valencia, Spain, Gema studied Engineering and Industrial Design, then completed postgraduate studies in Creative Graphic Design and Interior Design. She moved to England, inspired by British architecture and decoration. With over ten years’ experience on residential projects in England and Spain, Gema specialises in creating unique, collaborative homes. She is passionate about natural materials, textures, colour, and architectural details, blending old and new elements to craft elegant, timeless interiors with harmonious flow.

Gemma joined Sims Hilditch in 2014, bringing eight years of experience in high-end residential and retail design. As Design Director, she leads the design team and oversees both the interior architecture and decoration phases of each project. Gemma holds a degree in Interior Architecture from the University of South Wales and takes great pleasure in building lasting relationships with clients to create homes that are thoughtfully tailored to their individual needs.

Harriet joined Sims Hilditch in 2012 and is now Client & Business Director. She ensures projects run smoothly from start to finish, combining a keen eye for detail with strategic oversight. Working closely with procurement, Harriet embraces technology and process improvements to deliver projects on time and within budget, consistently exceeding client expectations. Her meticulous approach guarantees every element aligns with the design, upholding the company’s reputation for quality and reliability.

Helena joined Sims Hilditch in 2017, bringing five years of procurement experience within luxury retail. She holds a degree in Business and Marketing from Bournemouth University and oversees the logistical aspects of each project, from budgeting through to final installation. Helena combines extensive industry knowledge with a commitment to building lasting client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered seamlessly from start to finish.

Prior to joining Sims Hilditch as Chief Executive Officer, Henry was a leading marketing and strategy consultant who established his own business after several years of heading up marketing for companies including Ralph Lauren, JLL and Jack Wills. Based in Hampshire, with a foothold in London, he is passionate about establishing Sims Hilditch as a world-renowned design studio.

James graduated with a First Class BA in Interior and Spatial Design from Chelsea School of Art and Design. Before joining Sims Hilditch as a Lead Designer, he was an Associate at Conran and Partners. With over 14 years’ experience spanning residential, retail, hospitality and workplace projects in the UK and abroad, James enjoys working on a diverse range of schemes, always maintaining a strong focus on the quality of technical details.

Jessica holds a BA in Interior Architecture from the University of Wales. With over eight years’ experience in high-end retail and residential design, she joined Sims Hilditch bringing a positive, can-do attitude. Jessica is passionate about cultivating strong, lasting client relationships and thrives during the concept development stage, carefully balancing the opportunities and constraints of each building to create functional, welcoming spaces.

Kate began her career in advertising with leading consumer brands before spending over 20 years in finance. During her MBA at Cranfield, she developed a passion for entrepreneurship and business strategy, leading to roles in venture capital investing. This inspired her shift into management focused on growth. Kate thrives on problem solving and teamwork. She holds a First Class Zoology degree from Durham and, aligned with Sims Hilditch’s sustainability goals, is eager to support its B Corp journey prioritising profit, people, and planet.

Kate is an experienced marketing professional who has worked with a number of high-profile companies, honing her skills in digital marketing and brand development. She is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and engage audiences across all platforms.

With previous experience building client relationships at interior brands including Neptune and OKA, Katie brings a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences to her role as Project Coordinator at Sims Hilditch. She holds a degree in Art History, which has fostered a deep appreciation for beautiful spaces and the craftsmanship behind them. In her role, Katie applies a keen eye for detail, working closely with our trusted suppliers to manage projects from procurement through to installation.

Kelly holds a degree in Interior Design and Architecture from Bournemouth University, providing a strong foundation in both the technical and creative aspects of interior design. With over 12 years’ experience across residential and commercial projects, she is passionate about creating beautiful yet functional concepts tailored to each client. Kelly takes particular pride in sourcing unique and antique pieces that add character and depth to her interiors.

Previously based in London, Laura has spent the past 12 years working in luxury residential interior design. She has worked with many of the ‘Top 100’ studios, gaining comprehensive experience throughout all stages of a project, from concept to completion. Laura trained in interior design at KLC and holds a BSc in Marketing and Management of Textiles from the University of Manchester. Her strengths lie in project management and delivery, and she takes great satisfaction in ensuring each client’s expectations are consistently exceeded.

With six years’ experience in high-end residential design, Miranda began her career in Toronto before moving to London to work with Helen Green Design, then joined Sims Hilditch. She excels in coordinating clients, vendors, and consultants to deliver projects that exceed expectations. With a history background, Miranda specialises in period properties and restoring historic details. Passionate about blending traditional and contemporary styles, she creates timeless interiors, drawing on her strong knowledge of furniture, fabrics, materials, and bespoke joinery.

Nora joined Sims Hilditch in November 2023, bringing experience from Zara Home, Loaf, and Farrow & Ball. She has worked in sales and purchasing, gaining expertise in processing orders, commissioning bespoke furniture, and managing suppliers. With strong knowledge of furniture, materials, and a keen eye for colour and finish, Nora efficiently liaises with suppliers on availability, pricing, and lead times, supporting the design team to deliver projects on schedule.

Oliver holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Nottingham and has two years’ experience with London-based architecture practices. Specialising in high-end residential interior design, he focuses on precision and detail. As an Interior Architect, Oliver excels in technical design solutions and has strong knowledge of hard-surface materials. He enjoys designing bespoke joinery and values building professional, cordial relationships with clients.

Olivia graduated with a degree in Architecture before transitioning into Interior Design, with her architectural background continuing to inform her approach. After nearly two years as an Architectural Assistant, she relocated to London, where she spent six years working primarily on high-end residential and hospitality projects. Olivia is passionate about creating homes with a timeless, lived-in feel, carefully layering bespoke elements, antiques, patterns, textures and colour to craft interiors tailored to each client’s needs.

Rachael holds a foundation degree in Interior Design from KLC School of Design and has developed her skills working on residential and commercial projects. She excels in conceptual development, guiding ideas from inception through to design application. Rachael’s thorough client, regional and historical research allows her to capture both the client’s preferences and the character of each property. She particularly enjoys creating balanced schemes that harmonise contemporary pieces with traditional styles, and takes pleasure in producing detailed renderings that leave a memorable impression.

Growing up in a family with a strong background in architecture and restoration inspired Becca to pursue a career in interiors, beginning with a degree in Textiles from Bournemouth Arts University. With over eight years’ experience, she has worked on residential and commercial projects across the UK. Becca is particularly inspired by quality craftsmanship and materials, with a keen passion for detail. She values the uniqueness of each project at Sims Hilditch and enjoys seeing all elements come together harmoniously.

Romi holds a BA (Hons) in Interior Design from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s in Window Dressing and Visual Merchandising. Inspired by Barcelona’s mix of historic and modern architecture, she has completed numerous commercial and residential projects since moving to the UK. Romi believes well-designed spaces enhance quality of life, balancing fresh, innovative ideas with timeless appeal. A keen traveller, she draws ongoing inspiration from new places to inform her creative approach.

Highly organised and efficient, Sarah studied Event Management at Manchester Metropolitan University. Following a placement year in the events industry, she organised corporate functions before joining Sims Hilditch. She applies her skills to the interiors sector, managing project budgets with care and precision. Sarah particularly enjoys witnessing projects come together and finds great satisfaction in the final installation.

Scarlett has 12 years’ experience in high-end residential interior design, following a degree in Interior Architecture from Leeds Metropolitan University. She has managed projects both in the UK and internationally, and was previously Head of FF&E at Louise Bradley before joining Sims Hilditch. Scarlett enjoys collaborating with the design team to create timeless interiors tailored to each client’s unique requirements, with a particular passion for incorporating distinctive textiles and antiques.

Susannah is a skilled junior interior designer with experience on high-end residential and commercial projects. She has worked closely with established design teams, contributing to all stages of the process, from creating detailed drawings and visuals to overseeing on-site installations. With a strong background in fabric design, Susannah has a keen eye for colour and fabric schemes, alongside a thorough understanding of material properties. Her hands-on experience and creative approach make her a valuable member of any design team.

Trudy is a senior interior designer with over a decade of experience specialising in luxury hospitality and residential projects. She has worked with renowned studios including Kelly Hoppen Interiors and David Collins Studio, both in the UK and internationally. Trudy is dedicated to understanding her clients’ needs and crafting bespoke design solutions that reflect their individual style and vision.
