The Old Rectory

Tucked inside the pocket of the Gloucestershire countryside, the Old Rectory is a period property that serves as a peaceful country weekend retreat for our clients.

Having worked together on their London home, our designers enjoyed applying a more provincial perspective on the decoration. This family residence was to be neither too country nor too contemporary, which led us to use a pale and calming palette but introducing large scale prints and delicate embroidered fabrics. We also painted the beams and intricately detailed staircase spindles to highlight the original features.

From kitchen and bathroom design (including a wet room within a pitched ceiling setting and a split kitchen with a peninsula island) to fireplace restoration, the Old Rectory was a whole home renovation project that is now happily pouring with natural light and contented family life.
